Tracking Value from Events

The integration enabled IT1’s sales team to access event-related data such as attendee lists, registrations, and feedback.

In today’s business world, companies are relying more and more on technology to streamline their operations and stay ahead of their competitors. CloudROI is a leading technology solutions provider that helps organizations achieve their goals by providing them with innovative and reliable IT solutions. One of CloudROI’s clients, IT1, was facing challenges in managing their sales and events. They had separate systems for managing sales and events, which resulted in data silos and reduced efficiency. To overcome these challenges, CloudROI suggested integrating Salesforce and CVENT. This case study provides an overview of the problem statement, solution, and benefits of the project for IT1.

Problem Statement:

IT1 is a leading provider of technology solutions and services to various industries. They were facing challenges in managing their sales and events due to separate systems for each function. The sales team was using Salesforce to manage leads, opportunities, and customer data. On the other hand, the events team was using CVENT to manage their events, attendees, and registration. The data generated by both systems was not integrated, resulting in data silos and reduced efficiency.

IT1’s sales team was facing challenges in managing leads and opportunities as they were unable to access event-related data such as attendee lists, registrations, and feedback. This resulted in missed sales opportunities and decreased customer satisfaction. The events team was also facing challenges in managing their events as they were unable to access sales-related data such as customer preferences, purchase history, and feedback. This resulted in poor event planning and execution, leading to decreased attendance and customer satisfaction.

Solution:

CloudROI suggested integrating Salesforce and CVENT to overcome the challenges faced by IT1. The integration involved synchronizing data between both systems, enabling both teams to access data generated by the other system.

The integration involved the following steps:

Step 1:  Defining data fields – CloudROI defined the data fields that needed to be synchronized between Salesforce and CVENT. These included lead data, opportunity data, attendee data, registration data, and feedback data.

Step 2:  Mapping data fields – CloudROI mapped the data fields between Salesforce and CVENT to ensure data synchronization.

Step 3:  Setting up integration – CloudROI set up the integration between Salesforce and CVENT using the AppExchange application provided by CVENT. The app acted as a bridge between both systems, enabling data to flow seamlessly between them.

Step 4:  Testing integration – CloudROI tested the integration to ensure that data was being synchronized correctly between Salesforce and CVENT. Any issues were identified and resolved during this phase.

Benefits:

The integration of Salesforce and CVENT resulted in the following benefits for IT1:

Improved Sales and Marketing Alignment: The integration enabled IT1’s sales team to access event-related data such as attendee lists, registrations, and feedback. This allowed them to tailor their sales approach to the preferences of attendees, resulting in increased sales opportunities and improved customer satisfaction.

Streamlined Event Management: The integration enabled IT1’s events team to access sales-related data such as customer preferences, purchase history, and feedback. This allowed them to plan and execute events more effectively, resulting in increased attendance and improved customer satisfaction.

Enhanced Data Quality: The integration eliminated data silos by synchronizing data between Salesforce and CVENT. This resulted in improved data quality, reduced errors, and increased efficiency.

Reduced Manual Effort: The integration eliminated the need for manual data entry and duplication between Salesforce and CVENT. This resulted in reduced manual effort, increased productivity, and improved accuracy.

Better Analytics and Reporting: The integration enabled IT1 to generate better analytics and reporting by providing a holistic view of data generated by both systems. This allowed IT1 to make better-informed decisions, resulting in improved business outcomes.

Conclusion:

CloudROI’s integration of Salesforce and CVENT resulted in significant benefits for IT1 and their event management strategy. CloudROI and IT1 remain actively engaged in on-going support services to maintain an enhance their system.
